European Pumps and Pumping is structures in such a way to help the reader to build his or her knowledge of the many subjects wheather or not they are novice or specialist pump engineers. It takes the non-specialist pump engineer through the basic language of pumps and onto the broad catagories available. Intallation problems are discussed, as is the control of the system. The book then moves into the ancillary, but still important areas of shaft sealing and drivers. Finally it deals with pumping economics and gives a rapid selection procedure.

European Pumps and Pumping is not just a summary of the subject, but a detailed presentation of the factors to be taken into account whatever the reader's role in the pumped system. It is both a textbook and reference book.
