The Wetlands of South West Lancashire

The results of recent archaeological fieldwork are presented in conjunction with the latest sea-level and palaeoecological research. The results present a picture of extensive use of of the coastal landscape throughout prehistory where changes in settlement reflect the sometimes dramatic influence of the changing sea-level and climate.
