📖 Description
A fascinating catalogue, containing the wide range of artists and works now expected from the Chris Beetles Gallery, and its well-established annual exhibition of the work of some of Britain's best-loved illustrators. Familiar and favourite illustrators are included from Mabel Lucie Attwell to Arthur Rackham. The wealth of illustrations is complemented by detailed biographical entries. A special feature of this volume is a cumulative index, listing all of the artists included in the catalogues over the last ten years, confirming the strength of this British art in the last two centuries, and of the gallery's part in promoting it.
