The Puritans often referred to personal prayer as "secret prayer" or "closet prayer", and they had much practical advice on how to improve the quality and fervency of one's prayer life. This compilation contains the following three treatises:

~ "The Spirit of Prayer" by Nathaniel Vincent (on Ephesians 6:18)
~ "Secret Prayer Successfully Managed" by Samuel Lee (on Matthew 6:6).
