Published in 1991 by TechBooks (with sponsorship by the Energy Minerals Division of AAPG), this compilation was designed to show how geology and geologic concepts can be applied to coal resource exploration, extraction, and utilization. The papers are directed at managers to demonstrate the applications - and limitations - of geology in the coal industry. The case histories included have practical value to mine geologists and geological technicians as well.
