The Rogue River Guide

A guidebook, with maps, of the 34 mile section of the Rogue River, between the Grave Creek Boat Ramp and the Foster Bar Takeout. Mile-by-mile, rapid-by-rapid descriptions of the river are given, along with notable features of Class II rapids. Maps include campsites, landmarks and rapids, and are suitable for copying and use on the river. A Shuttle map is also included of the three shuttle routes available. Author Kevin K. Tice talks bridfly about the Rogue river natural history, geology, wildlife, flora, the native people, the early river runners, and human impact on the region. He also emphasizes the importance of the preservation of the river to keep the Rogue from becoming another victim of overuse.
