Multiple Stressors in Ecological Risk and Impact Assessment (Setac Special Publications Series)

The ILSI Risk Science Institute and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) planned and conducted a Pellston workshop, convened in Pellston, Michigan, in September 1997, to address multiple stressors in biological assessments. The goal of the workshop was to develop a framework to assess, compare, and manage the impacts of multiple stressors on biological systems. Each breakout group produced a report of its proceedings, and these reports were integrated by the editors into a workshop report. This text presents the results and conclusions of the five groups, as integrated by the editors, and as revised in response to comments by the steering committee, the breakout group chairs, and external peer reviewers.
