The photos cover the abudant wildlife (humpback whales, bald eagles, seals, birdlife, and bears), the park's major glaciers, ecosystems, mountain ranges, and recreational users. There are 11 essays by award winning Fairbanks writer Sherry Simpson. The book also contains a six-page history with 20 vintage photos.
