Climb Every Mountain: A Portrait of Carl Sharsmith.

Carl Sharsmith served the US National Park System longer than any other Ranger-Naturalist, beginning in 1931 until his death in 1994. A nature guru with an uncommon ability to convey his love for natural things, he was instrumental in developing a unique program of hands-on instruction, influencing thousands. This book, composed of more than fifty reminiscences, is a tribute to him and to his philosophy of nature. A Chronology of his life is featured in this illustrated festschrift.
