Experimental Design: The Chemistry of Adhesives (PACT Chemical technology resource series)

This book offers teachers a comprehensive instructional unit for high school chemistry, including complete lesson plans, teacher background, student handouts, overheads, student labs, and a student research project. Students learn background on the chemistry and history of adhesives, test solubility, viscosity, adhesive strength, and peel strength of common adhesives. The culminating investigation involves students in a research project in which they are asked to recommend an appropriate adhesive for one of three different industrial applications. This book is part of the PACT Chemical Technology Resources series, which is a product of the National Science Foundation-funded Partnership for the Advancement of Chemical Technology (PACT) program at Miami University Middletown in Ohio.
