There are three levels available Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced. The only difference between these levels is the speed a which you hear the exercise. Starting with the intermediate level is recommended for most students. Since ear training is such a personal experience Mr. Arnold has answered many questions from students over the years. This book provides a solid basis for the development of good relative pitch and is the required text at both New York University and Princeton University.
The intermediate level is also a good place to start if you are teaching a child ear training. (recommended for children 7 years of age or older) Please read Mr. Arnold's blog entry to understand the process of teaching a child and to find out more information on how the whole ear training process works.
This book provides a solid basis for the development of good relative pitch and is the required text at both New York University and Princeton University.
