Description
The royal court of Sudbergenland is buzzing with excitement because of the forthcoming marriage of Princess Freya to Prince Rupert of Vinotelia and a celebration is in progress as the curtain rises. Meanwhile, Joe, a woodcutter living at the edge of Evil Forest with his wife, Nora and their children, Hans and Greta, is concerned about the arrival of Griselda, a strange old woman living in a shack in the middle of the forest with her dog and cat. The two children don't like to walk all round the forest to visit Granny Madge, who lives at the other side, because it takes only half the time to cut through the middle. Word gets out that the royal couple are nowhere to be found, so two not-too-bright servants, Dork and Dweeb, are sent out to find them. They scour the land and arrive in Evil Forest just after Hans and Greta have been trapped by Griselda, who plans to eat them. The servants, like the children, find that the forest is a scary place, with trees that move, and return to court with the story. Eventually, Hans, Greta, the dog and the cat overcome their wicked captor and Granny Madge, a good witch, is able to reverse the evil spells cast by Griselda to restore peace to the kingdom, bring back the prince and princess, and solve two disappearances that had taken place many years earlier.
