Girl Called Tennyson, A

During a a seemingly ordinary ferry trip, Anne ""Tenn"" Tennyson Miller is transported instead to a fantasy land, Greensward. There she is elected to rescue her new friend Una from a nearby country occupied by evil forces determined to destroy Greensward. Trained by a wise woman before departing on her quest she uses this training as well as her own wits and intelligence to sustain her. Written in the British tradition of a classic fantasy quest, Givener alludes to the work of Tennyson. Tenn's love of writers will help her in her quest and lead to her success.
