This revisin guide covers Prescribed Subject 2: The Arab-Israeli Conflict 1945-79, for the IB Diploma History Paper 1 for both Standard and Higher Level. Paper 1 is assessed by means of questions set on a series of sources. This guide provides a set of detailed and very clear notes organised around the topic areas included in the IBDP syllabus. The bullet-points in the IBDP syllabus have been used as the main heading in this book, on topics such as the last years of the British Mandate, the 1948-49 Arab-Israeli War, the Suez Crisis of 1956, and Camp David and the Egyptian-Israeli Peace Agreement. Following the notes, 2 sets of practice source questions are included; 1 set with suggestions for answers, a second without answers for students to have a go at. Advice on improving technique in answering the differnt types of source-based questions is given.
