The Lynx

When he leaves his house one morning to go on a hike, Don Green has no idea what fate has planned for him. An encounter with a lynx not only leaves him mentally confused, but it also alters his physical capabilities permanently. Like the wild cat, Don now has the ability to leap high, detect the slightest noise and spot objects in the dark. Even his appetite changes to match the lynx's craving for hare. Energized by his new powers, Don impulsively sets off to halt a huge poaching operation led by Ben Foster, a foreign tycoon who has recently moved into the area. Foster's operation, as Don discovers, involves much more than poaching. Jen Adams, Don's new neighbour, notices some peculiar behaviour. She confronts Don for an explanation as to why he has been hiking in darkness while, at the same time, sustaining injuries that are unusual for an experienced hiker. Don has no choice but to tell Jen the truth. Since Jen is also concerned about Foster's action, she insists on helping Don. Initially, Don refuses Jen's offer but quickly admits that he needs assistance. With Don's powers and Jen's extensive expertise in wildlife, the two set out to find the truth about Foster.
