Melina Our Princess Forever

Two months after Melina died, my husband and I decided to go on a five months trip through New York for the marathon, then New Zealand, Australia, India and the Maldives. During this time I wanted to talk about Melina all the time, but I couldn't. It hurt too much. The pain nearly tore my heart into pieces and closed up my throat, so that was nearly impossible to breathe. That's why I started to write about my feelings and thoughts. I wrote down everything that came to mind. I didn't even think about the things I was writing down, it just happened. The idea wasn't to make a book first. But then my husband and some friends read what I had been writing and they all said that others should be able to read it too. That's how "Melina our princess forever - a personal journey of grieving" came to be.
