The book introduces the reader into the comparative neurobiology of the vertebrate telencephalon, and at the same time documents the present state of knowledge in the most actual disciplines of modern neurobiology. Special emphasis is laid on putative homologies of the considered telencephalic structures in the nonmammalian brain with those in the brain of mammals.
