Open Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Equipment, Diagnosis and Interventional Procedures

The book covers issues related to the practice of both diagnostic and interventional MRI on a new type of open design MR scanner. These machines are now being offered by essentially every MR major scanner manufacturer. The unique configuration and often mid-field strengths of these machines requires that new strategies be employed for both diagnostic and interventional procedures compared to that of the standard 1.5 tesla diagnostic only MR scanners for which the majority of the radiologic literature is directed today. There will be two co-editors who are acknowledged experts in this field. It is a broad multi-authored book that will appeal to radiologists, medical physicists, other physicians, and a variety of other health care personnel.
