Comparative Analysis of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems in Russia and Sweden

There will be an analysis in how far the company benefits from the implementation of ERP. , abstract: The purpose of this research paper is to examine Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP) in terms of implementation, and the feasibility in general of ERP systems in companies which are located in Sweden and Russia. There will be an analysis in how far the company benefits from the implementation of ERP. An ERP system is a programme that combines the software of each department in a company into single software. It helps the company to work in a solid IT-environment where you can easily share information among departments. However, this Master's research is focusing on the managerial and economic perspectives instead of a technical examination. The research will be based on questionnaires, interviews as well as case studies in the above-mentioned countries. The study attempts to reveal the differences and similarities in the implementation process in a Russian (Mobile TeleSystems) and a Swedish (Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson) company in terms of their various approaches within these countries.
