Contemporary Methods in Teaching Speaking

The 21st century is the century of exchanging information this way communication is getting more and more important. The boundaries between countries are disappearing, which means that communicating in a foreign language is getting more and more peculiar factor in the world. Thus, language learning has got in the focus. The question is how to make our students speak in an effective way. Erzsébet Knausz attempts to answer this question in her work presented here. She collects the possible factors of a successful language teaching and learning such as motivation, the teacher?s personality, language anxiety etc. She also lists a number of devices, paying particular attention to audio-visual aids and drama technique, that may help this process. In the last chapter she gives her experience of two surveys of hers on the same topic.
