Visual Perceptions of Virtual Characters: How the Brain Processes Graphic Design

In this analysis, Bernadette Sibuma reveals how the graphic design of characters differentially affects cognitive processes. Participants responded to face designs with and without emotional expressions while electroencephalography (EEG) was recorded. Event-related potentials were extracted and behavioral data were analyzed to determine whether graphic design influenced perceptual processes and task performance.
