Emerging Congress Destinations: Key factors of success and future trends, on example of the cities of Lille and Linz

The business industry and particularly the congress industry are gaining more and more importance in the tourism industry. The purpose of this investigation was to clarify the key factors of success and the future trends for an emerging congress destination, using the example of the two cities of Linz and Lille. This diploma thesis tried to explain the keys factors of an emerging destination, through intensive research, coupled with an exchange of information with industry.
