From cell division to endoreduplication: Large-scale transcriptional profiling of the transition from cell division to endoreduplication in developing soybean seeds
This work presents an early approach to large-scale transcriptional profiling of the soybean seed developmental transition from rapid cell division to endoreduplication. In the absence of soybean genome sequence a suppression-subtractive hybridization approach coupled with partial sequencing of the resulting differentially expressed transcripts and subsequent custom microarray production was used. The resulting subset of transcripts specific to the developmental process being studied was profiled using cDNA microarrays as a time course from seven to twenty two days after flowering.
