Feedback Provision: Self and Peer Feedback in EFL Writing Classroom: EFL Writing, Error and Effective Feedback

Feedback is widely seen as crucial for encouraging and consolidating learning; and it is also regarded as an essential factor in the writing context. As part of the feedback process, Teacher feedback has dominated the EFL (English as a Foreign Language) writing class for decades. However, currently with the development of writing pedagogy and research, feedback practices have been transformed,with the teacher written comments combined with pee feedback , self-monitoring, teacher-student conference or computer-mediated feedback. And Students shouldn?t get frustrated by the errors they commit.Because making error is an inevitable part of learning process and these different types of errors reveal learners' developmental stages. Rather, identifying effective corrective feedback is an important part for the improvment of EFL students' writing skill. Therefore, this book attempts to compare and identify the effective feedback provision techniques in English as a foreign language classroom.
