Basics of Cognitive Radio: Interference Management and Resource Allocation

This book gives an introduction to the field of cognitive radio with focus on simultaneous transmission between primary and cognitive users. Research challenges and solutions in the areas of interference management and resource allocation are described and derived. Some novel approaches for realizing a practical cognitive system is put forth. Throughout the book the reader is provided simulation results to illustrate the value of the theory provided in this book.
