This book deals with measuring technical and allocative efficiency simultaneously by using Frontier Production Function approach for the tea gardens of West Bengal. In recent times several attempts have been made by the researchers to estimate efficiency. Most of the authors have attempted to measure either technical or allocative efficiency by using Frontier Production Function approach. The unique feature of the book is that in this research work empirical estimation of the technical and allocative efficiency simultaneously by using the Stochastic Production Frontier approach is described. Input utilization profiles of the tea gardens of West Bengal are also discussed in this book. This book provides a clear- cut methodology in terms of econometric techniques and its application in tea industry.
