JXLS to JasperReports migration: Rebuilding MHG ERP Reporting module to produce analytical reports based on JasperReports Open Source reporting engine

During the years of professional growth, Ruslan Pisarenko has been developing applications in Java, C, C++ and C# programming languages. The thesis work, was a defining step in Ruslan's career, it was a proof of his competency, as well as a first experience in writing scientific papers. Being a thesis work for Information Technology degree, the thesis goes very deep into explanation of major Java Enterprise Edition methods and technologies, and describes a process of creation of ERP analytical Reporting module. From the very beginning, Ruslan decided to create a work that would match final thesis requirements of leading Computer Science faculties. After nearly a year of work, the thesis was very well received by the Professors and other students, as well as employer, who ordered the work. Thesis describes an original method and logic for migration from JXLS to JasperReports framework. This method can be useful for everyone, who is facing a need to perform such migration, while preserving the ability to create dynamic reports with variable amount of tables.
