Bibliometric Analysis of Electronic Journal: Biomedical E-Journal of Postgraduate Medicine

At present, bibliometric work provides the background for various and extended practical tasks. It is an established technique covering a wide array of knowledge. Bibliometric Analysis of total list of primary bibliographical database of 1872 articles of research study arranged in author’s surnames for the period of 1980-2007 of 27 volumes of online 109 achieved issues showing medical writings in the Journal of Postgraduate Medicine. Analysis statistics access for number of times the article is viewed e-mailed received, downloaded printed by readers and citations received by articles for the period. This book helps in selection and providing useful bibliographical e-databases of biomedical e-journals, e-articles and issues according to the need of their library users. It helps to medical librarian to collect such useful issues of e- journals having more visibility, usefulness and readership as a best web based bibliographic databases needed for clients. It helps to improve bibliographical and indexing services through manual and guide of previous articles of e-journals for easy references for their medical teachers, students and research scholars to search needful information.
