Trophic Status Of Lentic Water Bodies Of Gandhinagar District, Gujarat: Water Analysis

It gives me a great pleasure to present the book which contains a comprehensive account of the status of water and algal diversity in selected ponds of Gandhinagar. The book has six chapters. The chapter-I an introduction deals with various aspects related to the trophic status of water, eutrophication and study area. The chapter-II of the book contains literature review of water parameters, soil parameters, eutrophication and water quality studies.The chapter-III of the book contains three experiments which cover water analysis, soil analysis and phytoplankton analysis. The major findings of this report have been mentioned at chapter-IV where the trophic classification and trophic state index of selected ponds has been shown and water, soil, phytoplankton analysis and relations between water and soil parameters has been discussed based on the findings of this study. This also covers the description of each algal species. The chapter-V contains summary and chapter-VI contains references which have been referred to in all chapters. I hope that this book would be found useful by the Universities, Ecology department, Hydro biologists, limnologists, Scientists, Researchers etc.
