Parasitology of Wastewater: Evaluation using biosand filter and waste stabilisation ponds

This book deals with the subject of wastewater analysis with particular emphasis on the use of biosand filter and waste stabilisation ponds to remove parasite ova, cysts and oocysts from wastewater. The ova removal efficiencies of the two methods were compared with that of conventional sewage treatment plant. This book will serve as a useful tool for those who want a low-cost but efficient means of removing parasites (especially helminths) from wastewater for the purpose of reuse e.g. irrigation.
