Baccalaureate Success for Vertical Transfer Students

Persistence to the baccalaureate degree is typically thought of in terms of "traditional" students--those who matriculate right out of high school and begin in a four-year institution. However, students who are older, begin in a two-year institution, transfer to a four-year institution, have any number of risk factors, or live in a rural location are becoming increasingly prevalent on American college campuses. This book, therefore, sheds light on this growing demographic and provides suggestions as to how policymakers and campus leaders can assist these students to ensure their successful vertical transfer and baccalaureate attainment.
