Problems of case investigation and prosecution in Bahir Dar city: Case investigation and prosecution; a hidden crime

Sexual abuse is prevalent among female children in Bahir Dar. The problem is increasing as time goes on. A number of reasons are attributalbe to the spread of the problem. This research revealed that problems in investigating and prosecuting the sexual abuse cases in Bahir Dar have contributed a lot for the prevalence of the problem. Lack of knowlegde about the law, sociocultural factors, capacity gaps, nature of sexual abuse itself, innocense of victims, bribe and arranges marriage and other factors are bottlenecks of case investigation and prosecution.
