Description
Now a days the brain damage is increasing due to stroke or other sport injuries. The practice of diagnosis of brain, which is the central nervous system, incredibly depends on various imaging diagnosis in form of magnetic resonance, electric pulses, electromagnetic waves. And the diagnosis of peripheral nerves relies on ‘Nerve Conduction Velocity Test (NCV)’. It is very problematic to gain signals from brain through EEG if brain damage occur at upper lobe like cerebrum. If correlations of the EEGs generated from specific brain function (sensorimotor area) area and the signal from peripheral nervous area are high then it is possible to achieve relatively high classification accuracy in motor imagery tasks. Because correlation coefficients is often used to measure the similarity of two signals, it is necessary to determine whether there is a high correlation between EEG from sensorimotor area during MI(Motor Imagery) tasks and nerve conductivity at same peripheral nerve of same sensorimotor are correspond to brain. In this book, EEG and NCV data were analyzed. Finally, a significant correlation was found which will make the diagnosis of sensorimotor area more convenient.
