Design of a Functional Electrical Stimulation Device

Functional Stimulation Device developed and designed in this book is a microcontroller based electronic device that can be used to help people having drop-foot problems. The device can help such people to walk normally. Drop-foot is a condition where the patient suffering from this condition cannot walk properly as he or she cannot lift the leg from the ground to walk. The device designed in this book sends electrical pulses to the peroneal nerve position of the patient to enable him/her to walk normally.
