Analytical investigations concerning the performance of vane separators and experimental validation of droplet separation efficiency: KIT Scientific Reports (Volume 7690)

This study focuses on analytical methods for the prediction of vane separator efficiency and aims to enhance such methods with the implementation of geometrical variations (channel), spatial orientation (in flow- and gravity field) and additional physical phenomena (velocity profile, droplet distribution, re-entrainment). The resulting model is validated experimentally.
