One technique for making a dressing is electrospinning, which is a very simple procedure used to produce fibers. Due to much smaller fiber- diameters than produced with the conventioanl technique, the fibers from electrospinning have unique properties: high porosity and high surface areas, which are advantageous for wound healing.
