Ethics of Modern Developments in Agriculture Technologies: Proceedings of the Round-table Debate

The European Group on Ethics (EGE) is an independent, pluralist and multidisciplinary body that advises the European Commission on theethical aspects of science and new technologies in connection with the preparation and implementation of Community legislation or policies. The Group is composed of fifteen independent experts appointed by the Commission for their expertise and personal qualities. It was set up by the Commission in December 1997 tosucceed the Group of Advisers on the Ethical Implicationsof Biotechnologies (GAEIB 1991-1997).
