Product-01: The , -unsaturated cyanoester (product-01) was prepared by carrying out the reaction between 2-methylbenzaldehyde and ethyl cyanoacetate in presence of NaOH as catalyst. The assignment to the structure of the compound was made on the basis of their UV and IR spectrum. Product-02 The , -unsaturated cyanoester (product-02) was prepared by carrying out the reaction between 3-bromobenzaldehyde and ethyl cyanoacetate in presence of NaOH as catalyst. The assignment to the structure of the compound was made on the basis of their UV and IR spectrum. Product-03 The , -unsaturated malonicester (product-03) was prepared by carrying out the reaction between 4-chlorobenzaldehyde and diethylmalonate in presence of NaOH as catalyst.
