Emotional Intelligence and Value Orientation of Research Scholars: a journey into heart and minds of the research scholars

This study deeply investigates the inter-relationship between emtional intelligence and value orientation of research scholars. The concept of emotional intelligence deals with intelligent handling of the emotional states while values are those deep basic premises which guide the behaviour and decision making processes of the individuals. Since the research scholars are in the forefield of their respective research areas where they have to not only maintain the openness and receptiveness to new ideas but also to bear the pressures of the social situations. Also they are about to enter into their respective fields as pioneer. In that case they have to cope with different pressures and situations.The study deals with research scholars of three central universities of north india. The study deals with the interaction of emotional intelligence and value orientation of research scholars. How they deal with the emotional states and how their value orientation is interacting with the emotional intelligence. The study also tries to investigate the different concepts and words used in ancient indian literature.
