This was the longest novel in the writers trilogy, which uncovered the darkness, inanity and distortion in todays Japan. The hero was an unemployed person, whose wife was threatened by forces of darkness in Japanese society, and run away from home. The unemployed husband tried his best to find his wife, and killed the head of forces of darkness with his wife in the end.
