Keshavadasa wrote Rasikapriya to provide entertainment to such readers as were interested in the poetry of love. The book describes the diffrent kinds of nayakas and nayikas - their lovemaking, their moods, sentiments, and emotions, and illustrates these by vivid accounts of the lovers in various situations.
