We see here the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda on the subject of Indian women-- their past, present and future. Seeing no gender in Truth, Vivekananda exhorted men and women to rise above the mere accident of bodily distinctions to the perception of the Atman--the sexless Self--which is the Reality behind both male and female as well as all other beings. For his era, he was a trail blazer.
