Environmental Engineering - 1 (Water Supply Engineering)

There are number of books available on the Subject of Water Supply Engineering, but it is observed that each of these books is lacking in one respect or the other. Thus none of the books that are available on the subject is complete in all respects. This has prompted the author to bring out a book on this subject. Alike author’s earlier two books namely “Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics” and “Irrigation Water Resources and Water Power Engineering”, this book entitled “Water Supply Engineering” is also a complete text book on the subject.

The various topics have ben explained in simple language. It contains detailed information based on the latest Indian Standards. The text has been supplemented by a large number of solved illustrative examples and equally large number of problems. In the selection of the solved as well as unsolved examples special care has been taken to include those examples which have appeared at the examinations of the various Universities as well as AMIE, Combined Engineering Services Examinations and other Competitive Examinations.

The book has been made self-contained and therefore it will be useful for the students appearing at the examination of various Universities as well as the various competitive examinations. It is hoped that this Single Book will cover the need of the students of Civil Engineering studying this subject at the undergraduate level.
