TPM is a concept that address the problem of loss of production , loss of valuable man-hours, quality, breakdowns, safety and finally improve the OEE(Overall Equipment Effectiveness) & OPP(Overall Plant Effectiveness). TPM is particularly relevant to process industries as the manufacturing process is complex. Main focus of TPM is to eliminate breakdowns and increase the Mean Time Between Failures(MTBF) as also reduce the Mean Time To Repair(MTTR).
