Quantum Groups: Formalism and Applications (Karpacz Winter School of Theoretical Physics)

Since 1964, excluding 1982, tlne year of martial law, the Institute of Theoretical Physics of Wroclaw University has been annually, in February, organising the Karpacz Winter School in Theoretical Physics. The idea of the School is to invite leading western and eastern physicists to present a series of lectures and seminars. The Karpacz Winter Schools have developed into well-known international meetings between less experienced and already famous physicists specialising in advanced research in mathematical physics, field theory, theory of elementary particles and condensed matter physics.

The XXX Karpacz Winter School was devoted to recent research progress in the new, rapidly developing area of mathematical physics, i.e. the theory of quantum groups. The lectures presented at the School focused, in particular, on the current status of quantum deformations of space-time symmetries.
