El lado frio de la almohada pone en cuestion el conflicto entre el individuo y la colectividad; pregunta por las historias que esperamos, interioriza el papel de lo no imaginable y plantea el sentido de defender hoy la revolucion cubana. / In 2003 Philip Hull, a diplomat from the United States stationed in Madrid, sees himself caught up in a maze after agreeing to be the intermediary for the signing of a contract with state security agents from Cuba. The appearance of Laura Bahía, a young Spanish agent of Cuban origin, leads him to question his own sceptical, individualistic, and at times generous character. The love story between them has its underside in the story of the difficulties of the Cuban revolution. In the meantime, Laura writes intimate letters whose recipient is not Hull but the director of a very important newspaper. The Cold Side of the Pillow addresses the conflict between the individual and the collective; it asks for the stories we wait for, embraces the role of the unimaginable and lays out what defending the Cuban revolution means today.
