Pero Vaz de Caminha: A Carta (Portuguese Edition)

Cabral's fleet recorder, Pero Vaz de Caminha wrote this letter to king Manuel to tell him about the discovery of the new lands. Dating from Porto Seguro, on the 1st of May, 1500, it was taken to Lisbon by Gaspar de Lemos, skipper of the supplies ship of the fleet; it is the first written document of our history.
