Davi, the main character in the book, dedicates himself to taking Brazilians without a visa to the USA. He acts in the Mexican border, where he interacts with thugs, idealists, destitute and corrupt men. He gets involved in a lot of situations, which he faces without heroism and with a little humor. Even though he suffers, he remains unharmed thanks to his ability to come up with unusual escapes. Parallelly, he dates a Mexican girl that relieves his loneliness and brings meaning to his troubled existence.
