This volume makes available for the first time the major sources, in synopsis form, for the history of Palestine from 175–37 B.C. It shows how the texts arranged in parallel columns deal in different fashion with the same events. It also makes apparent where they follow the same of a similar outline, share words and phrases, sometimes even entire sentences. Naturally, their differences are also apparent.
