Stone, Walls and Paths: A Study of Korean Architecture

The book investigates the architectural and artistic significances stones have in the traditional Korean buildings. Far more than common building material, the book argues, stones(and the handling of them) demonstrate both the aesthetics of technical artistry and the aesthetics of temperance. Under this light, the book views the wall as an extended form of stones, defines the selfless harmony its distinct feature.
